Cast iron owl form andirons with amber glass eyes through which the fire glows. These were likely made by the Howes foundry of Boston, Massachusetts around the turn of the century, 1900. The glass eyes have no cracks or breaks. The Owls and Fire Dogs appear to have been recently spray painted professionally. Measures: 14" H. x 9" W. x 16" D. Provenance: Cape Cod, Massachusetts Estate.
