Belber Military Footlocker Captain A.O. Adams, 41st Infantry, circa 1909
Belber Military Footlocker Captain A.O Adams 41st Infantry, circa 1909. The brass tag says "The Belber Trunk & Bag Co. Philadelphia, PA. Contract Aug.30 1909 Phila. Depot". Along with name and credentials, there is a tag on the underside from the American Railway Express Co. Dated April 29th, 1910. There are some newspapers that were used to protect the inside of the trunk as found and dated November, 14th 1954. The interior of this trunk is in incredible shape. The interior has "Phila Depot H.F Bruner" and the symbol in the center of the trunk is the quartermaster symbol which was done pre WWI. This is a very nice trunk with all the patina you want on the outside with good leather handles without rips and an interior that is clean and does not smell musty or of mothballs. Measures: 14" H x 31" W x 17" D.
